Ernesto Villegas: The Venezuelan Arepa is on its way to its application as a World Heritage Site!

During the installation of a working day entitled “The Venezuelan arepa: elaboration, consumption and identity in the family and public space”, the Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Ernesto Villegas, reported that the file for the nomination of this important food typical of Venezuelans as a World Heritage Site “goes from strength to strength”.

“Specialists from all the states of Venezuela shared experiences and points of view regarding the process of preparing the application file for the Venezuelan arepa before UNESCO. The Venezuelan Arepa on its way to its application as a World Heritage Site!” , Villegas said through his account on the social network X.

He recalled that this initiative is part of the vertices of the Great Mission Viva Venezuela, my dear Homeland.

Finally, Villegas proposed “to those involved to make this not just a technical document, but a true work of art that reflects, for posterity, the profound meaning of the Venezuelan arepa in our cultural identity”.
