Estadio Monumental and the Polyhedron of Caracas set up as temporary camps

Overseeing care for families in temporary shelters, the President in charge Delcy Rodríguez announced the expansion of reception capacity in key infrastructure in the capital city to ensure the protection of affected citizens.

He also detailed the distribution of these spaces equipped with all the required amenities: “In the Monumental of Caracas we are going to have a capacity to receive 1,023 people and in this tent of the Polyhedron we are going to receive 200 people,” said the president in charge.

This adaptation of large areas of the capital is part of a comprehensive strategy of the Executive to provide safe shelter, food and immediate medical assistance while the formal delivery of definitive housing solutions takes place. With these actions, the National Government confirms its operational response capacity and its permanent commitment to the social protection of Venezuelan families who need it most.
