The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of
Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, confirmed this Tuesday the full operation of the Caracas Polyhedron Transitional
Camp, which houses families affected by the
double earthquake recorded in the country on June 24.
In her speech, the president in charge stressed that
these are “single-family spaces”, where they can have privacy, so that “
schools can now begin to be available for the return to school”. He also
noted that a Transitional Camp is being set up at the
Monumental Stadium in Caracas.
“Here is a team working quickly to care for
families who are victims of the double earthquake and these families can have greater
protection, greater privacy, comprehensive care in all these spaces, both
in the Monumental de Caracas, where we are going to have a capacity to receive
1023 people, and in this tent of the Caracas Polyhedron we are going to receive 200 people,” he explained.
