Grand League player Eugenio Suárez beat Milwaukee Brewers superrookie Jackson Chourio in the grand final of the 2024 Home Run Festival of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP) players.
Eugenio Suárez won the 2024 Home Run Festival at the “Simón Bolívar” Monumental Stadium and becomes the second player of the Caracas Lions to win the title of the Home Run Festival, only behind Bob Abreu who won it in 2009.
“Thanks to my wife and daughter, for the first time they came to see me participate in a Home Run Derby and what better way than to win. Thanks to all my people from Caracas, from Leones, to all my fans from Venezuela, thank you,” Suárez said.
