Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez assured that it is impossible for Venezuela to be excluded from the international energy market, when it is the country with the largest oil reserves.
During his participation in the International Russian Energy Week Forum, he argued that 26% of oil production is illicitly sanctioned, violating all international law. “
In this regard, he stated that without a doubt sanctions turn into economic aggressions and cause disturbances in the energy market.
“The sanctioned countries are undergoing a geopolitical reconfiguration and Venezuela's oil and energy reserves have been considered a strategic objective in the pentagon,” Rodríguez said.
The Executive Vice President emphasized that the BRICS maintain a decisive role in global economic growth and are a fundamental engine in the international economy.
“BRICS should be constituted as a space of networks of countries that have different marketing mechanisms. That is, to seek a mechanism for configuring a world that seeks peace and cooperation other than that set up by the centers of hegemonic powers,” he said.
He also stressed that Russia is fighting a big battle, its geopolitical position is key. “The sanctioned countries are reconfiguring themselves on all this political and geopolitical issue to ensure a new economic balance in the world,” he said.
