This Saturday, the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, denounced to the national and international community the hostile assault by the United States Navy (USA) on the tuna boat “Carmen Rosa”, last Friday, September 12.
“The U.S. government must immediately cease its shameful military harassment of Venezuela and its harassment of our fishermen. They have caused enough harm and harm to the Venezuelan people with their criminal economic blockade,” he wrote on his Telegram channel.
Likewise, he added, Venezuela will never give up, and under any circumstances it will defend, in national union, its sacred right to Peace. “YANKEE GO HOME!”.
On the boat where they illegally detained nine fishermen who are fishing in the Exclusive Economic Zone in the Venezuelan sea, a fact considered to be a direct provocation and an aggression against the nation.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, earlier announced that the warship deployed 18 soldiers with long weapons who boarded and occupied the small and harmless vessel “for eight hours, preventing the communication and normal functioning of fishermen carrying out authorized work.”
Gil said that the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), faithful to its constitutional duty, recorded the incident minute by minute with the air, naval and surveillance resources it possesses, “accompanying the fishermen at all times until their release” in the face of actions that took place in waters under Venezuelan jurisdiction and that occurred in the Venezuelan Exclusive Economic Zone.
