Falcón and La Guaira shone in the weights of the III Municipal National Sports Games 2025

Falcón and La Guaira won the gold medals in the weightlifting discipline of the III National Community Sports Games 2025, thanks to the outstanding performances of Yordi Rivero and Antonella Palma, who dominated the 45 kg and 40 kg categories, respectively.

Palma (La Guaira) won the title showing strength and precision in each lift, recording 42.5 kg at the start and 42 kg at the start, reaching a total of 84.5 kg.

“I still don't believe it, I came a long way to win, and now I'll return home with a gold medal, I'm sure my family will tell me that I did a great job,” said the champion.

The second place went to Hadasa Suárez (Táchira), who rose 39.5 in starting and 40.5 in envión, for a total of 80. The third place went to Leosmary Rodríguez (Apure) with marks of 37.5 at the start and 35.5 in envión, accumulating 73 in total.

Golden Tips

Rivero (Falcón) won first place after lifting 39.5 on the start and another 39 on the road, for a total of 77.5 kilograms.

“I am very grateful to everyone who made this victory possible, I focused, applied the advice of my coach and everything worked out for me, without them I would not have been possible,” said the Falconian.

The second place went to Jhosmel Meléndez, who equaled 39.5 at the start and recorded 37.5 in envión, accumulating 77, just 0.5 kg behind the leader. The third place went to Arnaldo Vivas from Caracas with a record of 36 at the start and 32.5 in the environment, for a total of 68.5.
