FANB destroyed mining camp on the banks of the Rio Aro de Bolívar

As part of the “Roraima 2024" operation carried out by the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) in the Bolivar state, a camp was detected and destroyed, located on the banks of the Aro River, El Encanto sector, Moitaico parish, which was used by illegal miners.

This was reported by the strategic operational commander of the FANB, G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez, who explained that the space consisted of 16 houses and makeshift warehouses.

In addition, the uniformed personnel in the said camp destroyed 7 tames, 7 river rafts and a missile.

“Venezuela is a democratic State of law and justice where environmental rights are protected. Protecting nature is a duty and a citizen's right established in the CRBV,” said the senior military officer.
