FANB seized 250 kilos of marijuana in Amazonas

Members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, in a joint operation with State Security Agencies, seized 250 kilos of marijuana in Amazonas.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Interior, Justice and Peace, the drugs were found by uniformed personnel while they were patrolling the Orare sector of the Atures municipality in that entity.

The procedure was placed under the order of the Public Prosecutor's Office.

It is important to highlight that, as part of Operation Bolivarian Shield, this action was carried out by Rapid Response Units (URRA), deployed throughout the national territory with the objective of combating Structured Organized Crime Groups (GEDO) and illegal drug trafficking.
