FANB seized criminal material from criminal groups in Zulia

This Monday, September 08 , the commander of the Zulia Integral Defense Zone, GD.Javier Magallanes, reported that thanks to the deployment of members of the Rapid Reaction Units (URRA), criminal material hidden underground belonging to structured organized crime groups was seized.

In this regard, from the municipality of Machiques de Perijá, during the balance of Operation Binational Peace Zone No. 1, he specified that three fast boats were seized for the transfer of psychotropic substances and narcotic drugs; 15 high-power outboard engines; 20 plastic drums with a capacity of 4,000 liters of gasoline-type fuel; four 9mm guns; and 1,149 cartridges of different calibers; 16 chargers and seven facsimiles.

He also pointed out that, as part of the fight against drug microtrafficking, 8,029 grams of cocaine; 1,264 grams of marijuana were seized at the different citizen service points deployed in the entity; and the arrest of a citizen from Colombia with 77 deciles of a presumed drug called cocaine.

He pointed out that, within the framework of the Iron Hand Plan and Strategic Material Control, 3,050 packs of cigarettes have also been seized; 1,300 ibuprofen blisters; 1,300 clonazepam blisters; 79,000 kilograms of ferrous material; 4 sedan-type cars; 8 trucks and two motorcycles.
