FANB seizes aircraft used for illegal drug trafficking in Amazonas

In a decisive action against illegal drug trafficking in the state of Amazonas, members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) carried out the destruction of an aircraft, 600 liters of fuel and logistical material.

In a press release from the Ministry of People's Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace, it was reported that the incident took place when military personnel were carrying out an operation in the San Pedro del Orinoco sector, in the Atabapo municipality of the state of Amazonas.

According to the report, this action also made it possible to locate an unauthorized clue used by armed terrorist drug trafficking groups in Colombia (TANCOL), for illegal drug trafficking. The case was left at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor's Office.
