The Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in India celebrated the 214th anniversary of the Signing of the Act of Independence with an emotional exhibition of the award-winning feature film “Ali Primera”, by director Daniel Yegres.

The information was released by the National Film Center (CENAC) on its Instagram account, where it highlighted that the event, held at the diplomatic headquarters in New Delhi, was attended by students from the University of Delhi, Jamia Millia Islamia University and the Delhi Skill and Entrepreneurship University.

The head of mission, Capaya Rodríguez, highlighted that Ali Primera was “much more than a singer, being the voice of a people, a symbol of social struggle and a beacon of hope”, as well as a key leader of the national movement for the Necessary Song.

The biographical feature film Ali Primera immerses the viewer in the life of the iconic singer-songwriter, exploring the historical events that enshrined him as the Cantor del Pueblo and leader of the movement of Venezuelan artists committed to social causes. The film chronicles his loves, his challenges and the songs he forged with his unwavering behavior, from his childhood in the desert areas of the west of the country to the end of his days.
