First Corn Festival promotes gastronomic tourism in Apure

The First Corn Festival in the state of Apure opened in the state,
under the slogan “Corn, Flavor and Culture”, with the objective of rescuing culinary
traditions and promoting gastronomic tourism as an engine of regional development.
The activity, which took place in the spaces of the
Apure River Gastronomic Walk, brought together cultural institutions such as the House of Culture, the
Cabinet of Culture, dance schools, as well as public and private companies and local
entrepreneurs that offered a wide variety of typical
dishes made from corn.
In this regard, the Single Tourism Authority in Apure, Ambar Montilla,
highlighted that the event seeks to “rescue our culinary traditions and
strengthen the gastronomic identity of the state”, thanking
Governor Wilmer Rodríguez for his support for his promotion of regional tourism.
For his part, the entrepreneur from Doña Hallaca, Enmanuel Chirinos, said that “the importance of the festival lies not only in promoting entrepreneurship, but in positioning Apure as an ideal state, with exquisite cuisine from start to finish”.
With this first Corn Festival, Apure strengthens its Government Plan, which highlights its commitment to culture, entrepreneurship and tourism.
