Five Chinese citizens die as a result of a plane crash in Thailand

The Chinese embassy in Thailand reported that five Chinese citizens died after the crash of a small plane in the province of Chachoengsao, in the east of that country.


The authorities specified that the accident occurred when the plane crashed in a mangrove forest around 15:10 (local time), while on its way to the eastern coastal province of Trat.


According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand, the Cessna Caravan C208B aircraft with flight number TFT 209 operated by the Thai Flying Service company lost contact with the Air Traffic Control Center and disappeared from the radar after taking off from Suvarnabhumi Airport in the capital Bangkok, Xinhua reports.
