Foreign Minister Gil praises the resistance of the Chinese people to 80 years of victory in the anti-fascist war

The Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, celebrated this Wednesday the commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the War of Resistance of the Chinese People against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.

On behalf of the Bolivarian Government, the Venezuelan Foreign Minister praised “the extraordinary resistance of the Chinese people and the Communist Party of China to those who tried to annihilate an ancient culture that today stands as a power of peace, development and bilateral relations based on respect, equality and mutual benefit.”

After participating in the wreath before the sarcophagus of the Liberator Simon Bolivar, together with the Chinese ambassador to Venezuela, Lan Hu, and Executive Vice President Delcy Rodríguez, Gil expressed his pride in being part of this celebration of great importance for the future.

He stressed that Venezuela and China will continue to advance in their Strategic Alliance “At Every Test and at All Times”.
