The Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, highlighted this Tuesday the rejection of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the face of the hostile actions of United States (US) imperialism against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

On behalf of President Nicolás Maduro, Foreign Minister Gil thanked the Persian nation “for strongly condemning the threat of the use of force against Venezuela,” given the deployment of American warships and a nuclear submarine in the Caribbean, off the coast of the South American nation.

“This military deployment that obscures our Caribbean Sea is a clear manifestation of a colonial policy that ignores the will of peoples who have decided to be free. We are deeply grateful for Iran's support and solidarity with Venezuela, thus reaffirming our unwavering friendship,” said the diplomat on his Telegram channel.

Earlier, at a press conference, the spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Esmaeil Baqaei, condemned U.S. military deployments in Venezuela and warned of serious repercussions of the use of force against the Latin American nation.
