The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, Maksim Ryzhenkov, met with his counterparts from Cuba and Venezuela on the sidelines of the 79th regular session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
Ryzhenkov and the Venezuelan Foreign Minister, Yván Gil, discussed the advances in the implementation of the agreements reached after the visit of the Belarusian Prime Minister, Román Golóvchenko, to Caracas, as well as ways to develop industrial cooperation.
“They focused specifically on the issue of dealing together with the structured attempts of some countries to exert aggressive pressure and interfere in the internal affairs of independent States,” reported the Belarusian diplomatic service, reported the TAAS agency.
On the other hand, he explained that Ryzhenkov and Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez addressed the road map of bilateral cooperation and the international agenda, including the Ukrainian conflict.
In addition, the parties reviewed the schedule of expected contacts at various levels. “They talked about the BRICS and the interaction in international organizations,” he said.
In addition, senior officials emphasized that their positions coincide on the absolute majority of international affairs and spoke out against the application of unilateral coercive measures.
