The Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, announced this Thursday that the Institute for Higher Diplomatic Studies “Pedro Gual” (IAEDPG) is transformed into the Bolivarian University of Peace Diplomacy, on instructions from the president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez.

“From this moment on, this institute began to be transformed into a university: The Bolivarian University of Peace Diplomacy,” said the Venezuelan foreign minister during the graduation ceremony of the V Promotion of the Master's Degree in Foreign Policy of Venezuela and the First Promotion of Specialization in International Economic Negotiations.

He stressed that the members of this group are the last graduates of the Institute, on its 35th anniversary. “The birth of the Bolivarian University of Peace Diplomacy is possible thanks to the work of professors, professors, managers, students, the entire Foreign Ministry, which has built a doctrine of pedagogical training, action and diplomatic doctrine,” he stressed.

Gil congratulated the Institute's management for the hard work they have done to achieve “this dream of becoming a university (...) as an integral concept, not only in training, now very early in undergraduate education, and not only in the training of careers such as the Degree in International Relations, but also seeing diplomacy as integral action in all fields, geography, history, culture, economy, the full society. Because diplomacy is what we are as a country and the Bolivarian University of Peace Diplomacy will be what we will be as a country,” he said.
