Foreign Minister Yván Gil receives stylish copies of Uruguay's new ambassador

The Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, received this Monday the style copies of the new ambassador of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay appointed to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Silvana Montes de Oca, a step prior to the delivery of credentials to the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.

The protocol activity was held at the Casa Amarilla Antonio José de Sucre in Caracas, where the Venezuelan Foreign Minister ratified the Bolivarian Diplomacy of Peace to strengthen relations of mutual respect.

“We express (to the new ambassador) our best wishes for the success of her administration. During the meeting, we reiterated our firm willingness to strengthen ties of friendship and cooperation between our countries,” Gil said through his account on the social network X.

Montes de Oca is a diplomat, lawyer and public notary who graduated from the University of the Republic (UDeLar). From 2022 to 2023, she served as coordinator of the International Agenda in the National Directorate of Climate Change of the Ministry of Environment and currently serves at the Artigas Institute of the Foreign Service - Diplomatic Academy.
