This Monday, October 5, the President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, highlighted the need for Venezuelan athletes to prepare with the best coaches to continue raising the level of competitiveness in international sporting events.

“That they prepare well, have the best coaches, bring good coaches so that they can also serve as a guide for their training, that they have their implements, their uniforms, their preparation,” he highlighted at the Miraflores Palace, where he awarded Recognition to the Venezuelan Delegation of the Santa Fe 2026 South American Games.

He assured that these extraordinary results in Santa Fe are the result of you, your coaches and family members, your psychologists, “when you go to a competition you may be very well prepared physically, but if we are not psychologically prepared, there is nothing to do.”

“The will can do anything, and that's what you demonstrated: Will and the will to win. Show that the Venezuela we are building today is a Venezuela that wants to be loved, loved, respected and admired. You achieved that with your participation in Santa Fe,” he emphasized.

In addition, the national president pointed out that the athletes are already preparing for the Olympic cycle route, “the Pan American Games are coming next year and I know that we are going to do better because as we go out, compete, play and meet, we are always preparing and improving for the coming competition.”

“Our goal is the Olympic cycle, the Olympic dream, our entire program from children to communities (...) let's search every corner of Venezuela, where there is that seed that has that Olympic dream and wants to be a great athlete,” he stressed.
