This Tuesday, François Bayrou resigned as Prime Minister of France, after most of the deputies refused to give him their confidence in the budgetary trajectory.
This decision marks the fifth change in office since Emmanuel Macron began his second term in 2022, evidencing the deep political instability that the French country is going through.
The fall of the Bayrou government came after the vote of no confidence in the National Assembly, where parliamentarians expressed their rejection of the economic policies proposed by the executive.
With this resignation, the entire ministerial cabinet ceased its functions, forcing President Macron to start the process of government formation again.
The French head of state is working against the clock to appoint a successor before September 18, the date on which the inter-union called for a general strike.
According to presidential sources cited by local media, the strategy consists of naming a figure capable of directly dialoguing with unions, preventing Macron from being on the front line in the face of social discontent.
