FUNDAPARQUES develops rehabilitation days for older adults in the Maracay Water Park

With the objective of promoting comprehensive health and social inclusion, the Aragua Parks Foundation (FUNDAPARQUES) and the Water Park carry out a high-impact aquatherapy program.

This initiative is designed to provide quality physical rehabilitation to the community completely free of charge and is developed in the facilities of the Water Park with the participation of specialists in the area.

The president of FUNDAPARQUES, Alfonso Guerrero, explained that currently care is provided to an average of 50 people per week. “Since the beginning of these days, 120 older adults have been successfully treated, managing to transform their recovery processes through the benefits of water therapy,” Guerrero said in a press release from the institution.

Whoever wishes to enter this program, which must comply with the following requirement, the patient must go to the headquarters of the Aragüeño Youth Institute (INSAJUV) with their original medical report, where a specialist from the institute will perform a detailed physical evaluation to determine if the condition is suitable for aquatic therapy. Once the diagnosis is approved, the patient is incorporated into the group of beneficiaries at no cost.
