This Friday, October 2, the general manager
of the IDB Invest Group, James Scriven, reaffirmed the institution's willingness
to accompany the Venezuelan private sector and contribute to promoting investments
with an impact on the country's development, during a meeting with business representatives.
“This meeting has a very
clear purpose. It's not just sharing our capacity, but also listening to
you and understanding what helps you to accompany the private sector and contribute
to boosting investments with an impact on the country's development,” said the
representative of IDB Invest.
During the session of the National
Economic Council, he highlighted that the IDB Group works in Latin America and the Caribbean
through the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), focused on
governments; IDB Invest, oriented to the private sector, and IDB Lab, dedicated to
promoting innovative solutions and business models with impact.
Scriven appreciated the invitation and the
space for dialogue, while stressing the importance of creating cooperation mechanisms
to support private sector initiatives and promote
investments related to development.
