Government of Aragua defines preventive plan for rainy season

Aragua state rescue and emergency care authorities held a meeting to define the 2024 Rain Care Plan.

Members of the Risk Management System, infrastructure conditions were evaluated in the 18 municipalities, identifying vulnerable areas and prioritizing actions to clean and maintain drains, channels and rivers, through different plans of action and care for communities.

The governor of the entity Karina Carpio stressed that they have been working on a permanent basis with the cleaning and maintenance of water channels, a task that has been accompanied by permanent calls of conscience to the population to avoid throwing waste into streams, rivers and canals.

“We have been doing constant work for a long time, cleaning our waterways, our rivers, collecting solid waste, implementing heavy machinery, logically because we know the position of the state of Aragua when it comes to rain and tell them that today, the state is calm,” she said, quoted by the regional press.
