The Government of the state of Aragua has implemented a comprehensive road rehabilitation plan that prioritizes the routes with the highest tourist influx in the state, with the objective of ensuring safe mobility during the next Easter holiday.
The work in full execution is focused on the recovery of the asphalt layer and signage, to optimize the experience of vacationers and residents who travel to the coast and mountainous areas of the state.
On the road to Ocumare de la Costa de Oro, the second phase of asphalting began with the installation of more than 800 tons of hot mix.
This intervention, carried out by the Secretariat of Public Services together with Vías de Aragua and the Foundation for the Development of the Aragua State (FUNDARAGUA), focuses on the recovery of rolling folders in strategic sections and critical points, ensuring a smooth route for the thousands of visitors who choose the Araguan coast as their destination.
Simultaneously, in the municipality of Santos Michelena (Las Tejerías), the Road Demarcation Plan is being implemented on the Pan-American highway. The work involves the use of high-visibility thermoplastic paint over 24 linear kilometers, which range from the Guayas sector to Los Palmares.
In addition, the works include the delimitation of channels, central axes and pedestrian safety zones to raise safety standards in day and night traffic.
Complementing these actions, FUNDARAGU A crews carried out environmental sanitation and weeding operations in the central area of the Tovar municipality.
These cleaning days on the main roads of Colonia Tovar ensure suitable and aesthetically restored spaces for the enjoyment of mountain tourism during the Major Week.
