The Bolivarian Government reinaugurated the Ateneo de Turmero Theater (TAT) through a civil project that combined the restoration of the historic architecture of the house with the construction of modern areas, with the objective of expanding artistic and cultural activities in the Santiago Mariño municipality in Aragua

The day was attended by the Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Raúl Cazal, who, hand in hand with the governor of the entity Johana Sánchez, got to know the place and shared with the members of the social movements, creators and cultivators of the territory.

Minister Cazal stressed that this architectural achievement is a direct reflection of the requests made by communes and youth sectors through popular consultation mechanisms, cataloguing the work as a true renaissance for Turmero.

In this regard, he commented that space will be vital to keep alive the region's spiritual, musical and scenic expressions, while emphasizing that the main challenge now lies with citizens and performing artists, who must appropriate the complex with a sense of belonging.
