Government of Carabobo will form ecosocialist committees of the Great Mother Earth Mission

With the purpose of deepening ecosocialism and moving towards a model of sustainable development, 173 ecosocialist committees of the Great Mother Earth Mission (GMMT) will be formed in the state of Carabobo.

The Secretary of Spatial Planning, Environment and Natural Resources, Alán Delgado, reported that these spaces will be accompanied by government entities to promote concrete actions for environmental protection and the preservation of natural resources, reported the website of the Government of Carabobo.

Among the main initiatives to be implemented by these committees are reforestation, training and community participation with the objective of promoting a culture of ecological awareness in the population.

“The Government of Carabobo firmly assumes the task of territorializing ecosocialism, strengthening the National Reforestation Plan and guaranteeing, through institutional coordination, a better quality of life for present and future generations,” he said.

The Great Mother Earth Mission has 7 vertices or strategic lines for the transformation, ecological regeneration of Venezuela, as well as the mitigation of climate change, for the construction of a sustainable model that is an example in the world.
