This Friday, the Government of Nicaragua, through a statement, urged the Zionist regime of Israel to stop the genocide against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

In this regard, the government chaired by Daniel Ortega, through the letter it addressed to Israel, indicated that it does not rule out filing a lawsuit with the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for the alleged crimes committed by Zionism against the Palestinian population.

“Consequently, Nicaragua will adopt all measures it deems appropriate, in accordance with international law, to guarantee respect for its rights and interests protected by that convention, including recourse to the International Court of Justice,” says part of the statement.

According to the RT website, Nicaragua recalled that Israel's military operations “have been and are being carried out with massive bombings against the civilian population”, including shelters, hospitals, religious sites and schools, causing the death of more than 24,000 people and the forced displacement of about 85% of Palestinians.
