The governor of the state of Táchira, Freddy Bernal, assured that the economic war of the United States against the world, with the placement of tariffs, at least 10 percent and there are tariffs of up to 60 percent, creates the conditions for this economic war to become an opportunity for Colombia and Venezuela, especially for Norte de Santander, Táchira and Zulia.
In statements made within the framework of the “Forum: Opportunities for Latin America and the Caribbean in the New International Context”. United States Tariffs”, Bernal highlighted the competitive potential of this geopolitical and geoeconomic zone for international markets.
Faced with the international event, he said that the forum is part of this work that has been going on for four years, which began with the opening of border crossings between Colombia and Venezuela. For his part, the Colombian Ambassador to Venezuela, Milton Rengifo, announced that the issue of timetables at border bridges has been addressed, as part of the recent agreement signed between the two neighboring nations.
