The governor of the state of Monagas, Ernesto Luna, during the swearing in of the Popular Units for Peace (UPPAZ) of the eastern entity, assured that in the region there is no room for genocidal attempts by the stateless right.
“We have a Bolivarian army of men and women who are ready 24 hours a day to guarantee peace in our territory,” Luna emphasized.
The governor insisted that Monagas will remain a territory of peace. “We have an army of men and women that will continue to be deployed, on the street, participating in debates, and discussing the governing document of the UPPAZ,” he stressed.
“At any time, under any circumstance, at any time, at any time they tell us, here are these 1,416 popular units to defend peace, our territory and our beloved Monagas state,” he said.
He also indicated that they will also continue to participate in the debate on the seven transformations ordered by President Nicolás Maduro.
