In the framework of the second National Popular Consultation 2026, the governor of the state of Trujillo, Gerardo Márquez, said that election day began early in the morning, when the 461 voting centers received the communities, “they are still fully open to the public.”
“We must congratulate our people who settle all their differences in electoral processes. One must also thank the National Electoral Council (CNE), which has been impeccable all its work to make this process take place today, as well as the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB),” he said.
This was stated by Márquez en Valera, at the end of a tour of the entity's different voting centers, “you can see how the voting centers are crowded with people, with that great expectation that each of the more than 1,600 projects has.”
In Trujillo, 1,603 projects were submitted.
