The governor of the state of Amazonas, Miguel Rodríguez, highlighted this Saturday the commitment of the People to the call of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, to go to the country's headquarters in a popular, military and police fusion.

“Here we are, those of us who live in the extreme south of the country. In this land of jungle, rivers and tepuyes, which has courageous women and men, who have decided to respond to that call that is our president, 'the people go to the barracks, 'and here we are,” said Rodríguez from Puerto Ayacucho.

He stressed that the People are in the barracks “with our military brothers in the Armed Forces, that the first thing we did was shake our hand to show that real fusion, that we are in a perfect union, in a perfect civic-military fusion.”

The regional president stressed that, “even if we are far away, even if we are in the extreme south, we are preparing to move from a town of disarmed struggle to a people of armed struggle because we are not going to let the gringos set foot on the land of Bolivar and tarnish the legacy that Commander Chávez left us.”
