The governor of the state of Aragua, Joana Sánchez, assured that Venezuela is experiencing an extraordinary democratic moment with the election of mayors, councilors and the third Consultation of 2025.

After exercising his right to vote in the Santos Michelena municipality of the entity, he indicated that he made a call to participate in this election day, which confirms the democratic nature of our country. “These are part of the tools used by the Bolivarian Revolution to govern together with the people and for the people,” he said.

“This is an extraordinary democratic moment that our country is experiencing. In Aragua we are going to elect 18 mayors plus 300 councilors. It is a rapprochement between communities and the constituted power. The time for lawsuits between mayors and governors is over, today we have the 7T and a system to go out to govern and they are the rooms of communal self-government,” he said
