Governor of La Guaira oversees comprehensive rehabilitation of Macuto's Maternity Hospital

The governor of La Guaira, Alejandro Terán, oversaw the work of air conditioning, technological equipment and the incorporation of a new operating room in the Macuto Maternal and Child Hospital.

According to information issued by the Government, the objective of this oversight seeks to evaluate the progress of the comprehensive rehabilitation work being carried out in this healthcare center.

“Among the main improvements, the provision of state-of-the-art supplies and materials, the optimization of general air conditioning systems and the structural recovery of the surgical area stand out, which will add a new operating room to its operational capacity,” said the Government.

The regional president explained that the center registers an average of 150 monthly births and highlighted that 95% of births in the state are channeled free of charge through the public health network.
