The governor of the state of Miranda, Elio Serrano, this Saturday, February 14, activated the Emergency Room Unit to serve the people during this holiday of Carnival 2026, in the Higuerote sector of this entity.

The service will be available 24 hours a day with the assistance of doctors, specialists and nurses and, if the case warrants it, the patient is referred to a Comprehensive Diagnostic Center (CDI) or to a hospital in the area.

From the Cacique Higuerote Commune, accompanied by emergency and rescue personnel, in statements to Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), Serrano reported that this space also operates the emergency operations center on the axis of the Brión de Higuerote municipality, which will allow for quick assistance to vacationers who present any circumstances on the beaches or mountains.

“In addition to that, in this emergency operation center, we have been able to visualize what is happening in real time at all the public service points we have throughout the state,” he added.

Miranda's single health authority, Erik Ramírez, and the governor's Secretary of Security, Jassen Sánchez, explained that the Emergency Department provides shock trauma care for any accident that occurs.

“We can, in real time, systematize all the points we have along and across the main road arteries, the points of attention and public awareness,” said Sánchez.

They also announced that security teams are ready on the different beaches “so that our vacationers can come to Miranda state and that they feel safe with a safety team that will be ready, ready to attend to them when they have any emergency.”
