The governor of the state of La Guaira, José Alejandro Terán, reported that 25 days of the Sovereign Field Fairs are taking place simultaneously in the entity, “with their protective embrace at the heart of our communities in La Guaira.”
On his Instagram account, he emphasized that “it's not just the sale of food, it's comprehensive health care, culture, smiles for boys and girls and real care for our people.”
“Today we celebrate a milestone that fills us with pride, because we are distributing 201 tons of food over 25 days, with great attention in the Carlos Soublette parish, which totals 61 tons of food directly to the families table,” he said.
Terán stressed that “it is an achievement that pays homage to the 22 years of the Ministry of Popular Power for Food, that visionary dream of our Commander Hugo Chávez, which today is consolidated with more than 95% of the food in the basic basket produced with a Venezuelan seal, with effort and love for what is ours.”
In that regard, he stressed that “we demonstrate to the world that Venezuela produces its own thing: more than 95% of the basic basket is homemade with a national seal.”
“Sincere recognition goes to MG Leal Tellería and to the entire team of the Ministry of People's Power for Food for this achievement that makes Venezuela and its food sovereignty great,” he said.
