The governor of the state of La Guaira, José Alejandro Terán, signed a strategic alliance with the company LG Global, a fish processing plant.

This alliance is part of the Special Economic Zone (ZEE) of La Guaira, whose objective is to boost the economy through the export of products.

The company LG Global began exporting octopus to several countries, a process that is supervised at Maiquetía air customs, with the participation of officials from the National Integrated Customs and Tax Administration Service (SENIAT) and the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), to ensure that the product meets quality standards.

Terán highlighted that these investments generate direct employment and contribute to the social policy of the 1×10 System of Good Governance, with a focus on improving public health in La Guaira.

The regional president expressed his pride in the face of the new investments in La Guaira. “We continue to work hard because there are no threats that stop the will of this free and sovereign people that seeks to achieve our economic sovereignty where we are proud to have a leader like Nicolás Maduro who guides us and makes possible the diversification of the economy,” he stressed.

The agreement between the regional government and LG Global seeks to diversify the economy beyond oil revenues.

A key point is that 3% of the revenues generated by this cooperation will go to the La Guaira Health Foundation, with the purpose of optimizing health care services in the region.
