During a Community Assembly held at the Las Brisas Court in La Ciénaga, the candidate for the Great Patriotic Pole Simón Bolívar (GPPSB), Farith Fraija, highlighted the advances and challenges in terms of governance, infrastructure, agricultural production and social care in the parish of El Jarillo, reaffirming his commitment to the integral development of this area.
Farith pointed out that exercising governance in El Jarillo represents a challenge due to its geographical characteristics and its conservative society, but he took up the challenge from the first day of his administration. He recalled the investments made in the main road, although he acknowledged that a new intervention is required due to landslides caused by irresponsible agricultural practices and the high presence of water sources.
The Mayor highlighted the tourist and productive potential of El Jarillo, stressing that, although the main economic activity is planting, it is necessary to diversify opportunities. He thanked the Government of the Bolivarian State of Miranda for their support, especially the Miranda State Agricultural Development Corporation (CORDAMI) team, for strengthening small producers with credits and agricultural development programs.
Fraija announced plans to improve sports and recreational infrastructure, including the rehabilitation of the communal court, the installation of a children's playground and the promotion of activities for young people and older adults. In terms of health, he undertook to ensure that the local outpatient clinic operates 24 hours a day, with gynecology, pediatrics, laboratory and ultrasound services, working together with organized popular power.
He highlighted the enthusiasm of young people and his “Dream Map”, which will guide projects such as the construction of a public plaza, with funding from the National Government and the mayor's office.
“Let's not leave El Jarillo behind. With unity and work, we will achieve sustainable development for all,” concluded the Mayor, reiterating his willingness to form alliances that benefit the parish.
