The Secretary General of Youth of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (JPSUV), Grecia Colmenares, stated that “the antidote to defeating fascism is the commune”, since revolutionary youth, today more than ever, are present in every space of the national territory, through the organization of youth political teams.
He specified that this September 12 is a great day to demonstrate what socialist youth are made of, their historic role in the homeland and what they are constantly preparing for.
This was stated at the Antonio José de Sucre International Youth Leadership School, Filas de Mariches sector, Miranda state, on the occasion of the 17th Anniversary of the JPSUV, led by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.
“It's a day to reaffirm everything that has been done for 17 years and what we are capable of doing as Venezuelan youth, for our independence, sovereignty and beloved homeland,” he said.
In this regard, he emphasized that, despite adversities, new generations will continue to support the driver of victories, President Nicolás Maduro, to continue on the offensive and overcome adversities, because the first steps have already been taken towards the consolidation of Venezuela's socialist youth.
In the political and historical context that the country is currently experiencing, he reiterated to President Maduro that young Venezuelans are willing to do whatever it takes to defend the homeland, with their chest, soul, attitude and will, to do what is necessary to defend this sacred territory.
“Today we are millions of young people who will not let the insolent plant of foreigners dare to touch the sacred soil of the homeland, and that is why we say that where the people can, the homeland grows, because the future belongs to us,” he said.
Colmenares thanked the head of state for his knowledge imparted over the years, as well as for his struggle, example and conviction, with the Homeland of Simón Bolívar and Hugo Chávez.
