This Wednesday, during the meeting with social and productive sectors in the state of Guárico, the Sectorial Vice President for Policy, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, categorically rejected the conditions imposed by the agribusiness on local producers, especially in the fields of rice and corn.
Cabello denounced that business sectors intend to impose arbitrary prices after the harvest: “That blow comes with what they want to give three loches to the producer, who is the one who throws his legs working every day.” He specifically pointed to the case of rice, where the industry committed itself to a price that it doesn't want to meet today: “I tell you look, I have the silos, or you sell me at the price I tell you or you'll see what you do with your rice,” he said.
He also urged the peasants to the organization to protect their work: “Do you know how the peasants, the producers, can achieve fair prices and tie themselves to the prices together? If they are united. If they are divided, everyone on their own side does not report.”
The sectoral vice-president of Politics, Public Security and Peace, highlighted the potential of the state due to its proximity to Caracas and the capacity of the people to reinvent themselves, who have managed to create more than 700 brands of cornmeal in the country.
