GUÁRICO-SAN JUAN DE LOS MORROS/Cabello: Whoever is extorting will face the law

The Sectorial Vice President for Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, reaffirmed the commitment of the Bolivarian Government to guarantee security in the Guárico state, warning that irregular groups will not be allowed to subdue the working population.

“We are committed: Guárico will be a territory of peace and tranquility for all Guariqueños and Guariqueñas,” he said and sent a direct message to those who are trying to disturb the area. “Whoever is extorting money knows that they are going to face the law. Whoever is blackmailing is going to run into the law... there is no justification for groups to appear that believe they can subdue the rest of the population, just because they have a gun.”

As part of the concrete actions, Cabello reported on the deployment of “motorized curras” in conjunction with the government to venture into difficult terrain: “I'll send you some motorcycles that we have there... whatever is necessary to get us on the ground, well, and the criminals where they are involved will reach them.”

The vice-president stressed that these tasks are carried out with social intelligence. “We do that quietly... because in silence it has to be.”
