Head of State announced the first day of mobilization of more than 8 million enlisted in the Militia

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, announced that this Friday, September 5, the more than 8 million Venezuelans enrolled in the Bolivarian National Militia will be summoned for the first organizational and mobilization day.

From the Presidential Command Post, in the Miraflores Palace, the head of state said that it will be “the first cycle of activation of all Bolivarian Militia enlisted at the national level, as well as reservists at all levels .”

The Dignitary highlighted the unprecedented nature of the call, which involves “the Community Militia Units (UCM) in the 5,336 communal circuits of the country that encompass the national map,” under the Constitutional Law of the Venezuelan Armed Forces, he explained.

“Each UCM will have a set of popular bases for comprehensive defense, 15,751 popular bases for comprehensive defense that coincide with the country's electoral centers,” he stressed, informing, in addition to the activation of the next phase in the national defensive system to face imperial threats.
