Head of State congratulated La Guaira on the 263rd anniversary of the birth of José María España

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, congratulated the state of La Guaira on its anniversary.

Through a telephone contact through Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), the Head of State highlighted the founding and commemoration of the 163rd anniversary of the birth of José María España.

“It's 263 years since the birth of José María España, the bravest, the most visionary who, together with Manuel Gual, was carried forward by the movements that were the forerunners of independence,” he said.

He added that “we can say that the movements of these two men marked the course of the country's independence”.

“In perfect civic-military union, the people of La Guaira celebrate their day,” said President Maduro, who urged Guaireños to raise their heads to look at the future that awaits Venezuela, which will be built with love.
