Head of State highlighted the success of the Bolivarian Shield Exercise: We must prepare to defend peace

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, emphasized the need to defend peace throughout the national territory, “if the people want peace they have to prepare for peace.”

“The peace we managed to achieve tried to be violated on July 29 and 30, by the fascist criminal commanders”, the approach was made by the head of state, referring to the “Bolivarian Shield” Exercise, a civic-military-police defense exercise, carried out last Saturday, November 30.

He recalled that these violent groups “in many places negatively surprised and killed people, 27 innocent people who were killed by the commandos.”

In that sense, he argued that “they (the extremist right) create a narrative with the support of international social networks and a lot of complicit people, who grasp that false narrative to hide the truth, trying to turn perpetrators into victims, criminal murderers into political prisoners.”

“They are not victims, nor political prisoners, they are perpetrators, they are criminals,” he emphasized

He reiterated that the People have to prepare, “we want a happy Christmas without neglecting security anywhere in the national territory,” he said in the Editorial of the 69th edition of his program “With Maduro +”.
