Head of State: In the Battle of the Bridges, militiamen defeated fascism

“The peace of Venezuela is sacred and we care for it. This victory of the Battle of the Bridges had as its fundamental protagonist the militiamen, the militiamen, we prepared ourselves well and in perfect civic-military-police union and we obtained a great victory for Venezuela's right to peace and sovereignty”, emphasized the national president.

The Head of State recalled that on February 23, 2019, the invincible Bolivarian civic-military-police union defeated the invasion plan orchestrated by imperialism and its accomplices in the region, using supposed humanitarian aid that would cross the Colombo-Venezuelan border, specifically through the Tienditas International Bridge, located in the Pedro María Ureña municipality in the state of Táchira, to carry out the invasion of our territory .

The Venezuelan ruler accused sectors of the elite of the ultra-right “surnames” led by former deputy Juan Guaidó and his cabal of being at the forefront of this plan, who promoted a violent campaign to invade the Venezuelan nation with an alleged caravan of humanitarian aid.

He added that the destabilization plan, led by the then President of the United States, Donald Trump, had the support of the former leaders of Chile, Sebastián Piñera; Colombia, Iván Duque, and Paraguay, Mario Abdo Benítez.
