The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, this Thursday, December 11, urged that in each Community Council there be a team of young people, so that they learn to be leaders and to direct politics, to ensure the defense and continuity of Popular Power.
In this regard, he argued that politics must be learned and exercised by new generations, who have the responsibility to assume the leadership of the country in the future.
He pointed out that the objective is for new generations to learn to be leaders and to acquire the ability to direct politics from the ground up. “It's about shielding the political process of communities, preventing power from being assaulted by elites or external interests and defending Popular Power against any attempt at regression,” he stressed.
In Pinto Salinas, El Recreo parish, where he visited the “Comuna Amalivaca” Self-Government Room, in order to inspect and deliver comprehensive rehabilitation works, within the framework of Commune Thursday, he reaffirmed that a President must dedicate himself to the integral development of his nation, to promoting culture and education, as well as to guaranteeing the greatest state of happiness and well-being to his people, and not to seeking conflicts with other nations.
The head of state said that “unfortunately, the United States has dedicated itself precisely to seeking wars instead of focusing on the well-being of its nation.”
