Head of State: Institutional framework has been created for a new phase of Venezuela's economy

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, stressed that the Bolivarian Government has created a triangle to build an institutionality aimed at supporting a new phase of the Venezuelan economy.

Around this triangle, he explained that it is about the creation in the country of the International Center for Productive Investment (CIIP), “to give coherence, centrality and strength to the necessary investments that the country attracts and receives for its development.”

Secondly, he mentioned that through the debate in the National Assembly (AN) and a consultation with the entire country, the Law on Special Economic Zones (ZEE) was created, “and we took the first step to create the first five Special Zones.”

The third point of the triangle, he said, is the recent creation “of a powerful export promotion agency to place the main emphasis in a persevering and scientific manner to build the export vocation of the new Venezuelan economy.”

The explanation was offered at the Miraflores Palace, where the 25th World Forum for the Development of Special Economic Zones (SEZ) closed. “It's a wonderful triangle,” he said.

He also stated that the creation of the ZEE was carried out “inspired by China, the Chen Cheng district and many others”.

“All politicians in the world are obliged to understand the historical phenomenon of the great power that China has become,” he said.

He emphasized that this nation built its own model, a powerful identity, culture and education system.
