Head of State: Messi, Maradona and Evita are Argentinian Giants

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, described Lionel Messi, Diego Armando Maradona and Evita Perón as giants, due to their historical and social impact in Argentina.

The Head of State added that tonight there will be a game between Venezuela and Argentina, which will be the last in his native country of the southern soccer player.

“Yesterday Scaloni (Argentine coach) cried with feeling at the press conference he gave, because Messi is one of the giants, as was our giant Diego Armando Maradona. Argentina, how good soccer players and good people too have given birth,” he recalled.

In that regard, he added that “the great general Juan Domingo Perón, our patriotic general. Evita, unforgettable Evita, who still marks the agenda of struggle of the peoples of the south, forever. Well, Néstor Kirchner, a giant, general secretary of the Union of South American Nations and a giant of the 21st century, are part of these giants.”
