“What National Assembly exists in Venezuela? The National Assembly elected in 2020, chaired by Dr. Jorge Rodríguez. Before that Assembly, as required by the Constitution, the President-elect will be sworn in, and it is before that Assembly that I will attend as President-Elect to be sworn in for a new presidential term and then I will take an oath with the People.”

This was confirmed by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, who warned that opposition extremism will do a show to swear in the defeated former candidate, Edmundo González Urrutia, as part of the implementation of the plan to plunder and hand over Venezuelan wealth to North American imperialism and its European allies.

“They're going to swear him in order to finish giving CITGO to the gringos, the gold in London, and other assets that Venezuela has abroad; that's the plan with Mr. Edmundo,” he warned while urging the world's media to ask the former candidate of opposition extremism who he will be sworn in before.

“It would be good if they asked you, to which Assembly are you going to be sworn in? Will it be the king of Spain who will swear in him or will it be the Spanish courts? Ask him!” , invited.

He stressed that the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela stipulates that the President-elect must take the oath of office before the National Assembly on January 10 of the year following his election. “That's a Constitutional mandate and I'm going to fulfill it, the rest is pure show,” he said.
