In the framework of the 242nd anniversary of the birth of the Liberator Simon Bolivar, this Thursday the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, highlighted the inspirational character of the Father of the Fatherland to face every battle in defense of sovereignty and national independence.
“Using the words of a great French poet, Paul Edward, who said that 'Bolivar is not so much the inspired one as the one that inspiress'. It inspires us not to hesitate, not to retreat, to win along the way, as he said, to win along the path of revolution and not by another,” said the Head of State during his message at the central event for the birth of the Liberator.
In this regard, he stressed that Bolívar inspires, as he did in the past, to defeat current ghosts. “The ghosts of the present, which are truly horrible; Zionism, Nazism, fascism, hegemonism, imperialism; they will end up disappearing completely with that Bolivar force that we carry when we approach those ghosts, which are threats to humanity,” he stressed.
